The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee received a full redesign, so the powertrain changed a bit too. Jeep made minor changes to the V6 and 5.7-liter V8 engines. The sturdy, 8-speed automatic transmission remains but a 375-horsepower plug-in-hybrid powertrain makes its debut in the Grand Cherokee 4xe. Additionally, a properly equipped, the Grand Cherokee can tow up to 7,200 pounds.
There are 7-different trim levels for 2022. The larger touch screen (8.4 inches), a Wi-Fi hot spot, forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and lane keep assist are all standard.
